16:42pm

Phew, nearly completed a whole day of this starvation. I walked to the Co-op with Meewps (who has just eaten a BAG OF CRISPS!!!) We bought some nectarines (one of which I ate on the walk home), blueberries, grapes, tomatoes, Special K chocolate chip bars, Special K with dried red berries in it, cashew nuts (for with our stir-fry tonight), noodles and I was going to buy some cherries but oh my goodness were they mouldy. I even complained to the cashier lady and she said she would ‘check them’. Thanks babes.

Like I said, I had a nectarine as my Special K website plan told me to have one piece of ‘fresh fruit’ as a morning-time snack. This nectarine was too fresh, in that it was not yet ripe. It was crunch like an apple, but luckily it was still quite juicy so I wasn’t too bothered. Plus the crunch meant it took me longer to eat, so that by the time I was finished, my stomach was already sending the ‘I’m full’ signals up to my brain, so that I didn’t pig out on anything else . . . actually, I will be honest . . . I had two Percy Pigs! I know, what was I thinking? I feel so guilty. An extra 60 ‘empty’ calories; I don’t know how I will ever forgive myself.

But moving on. I indulged in my first bowl of Special K before going out with Mom and Meewps. I had the Special K Medley which I think is full of oats, and raisins (bleaurgh) and apricot pieces or something like that. It wasn’t half bad, except that I had mine dry as I HATE milk. Milk-time at primary school was my most hated time of the day. Why-oh-why couldn’t Maggie Thatcher have been around with her milk-in-schools abolition when I was having the white stuff poured down my unreceptive throat??? Life never goes my way. On the plus side, the Special K wasn’t half bad, and it kept my full until now so that’s quite good. Now, my Special K plan on the website says that I should have a banana as an afternoon snack, but I’m not so sure.

Here’s my banana dilemma; they have tons more calories than any other type of fruit and they remind me of carbs, as they are white and make you full really quickly. So I’m not sure if I should have one or not . . . especially since the whole Percy Pig debacle. Then again, if I don’t have a banana then I will be really hungry at dinner, and will have an epic portion which I will later regret. So you see my problem?

In terms of exercise I have walked for probably 30 minutes so far today. I want to go walking for another 30 before the day is up (which I will probably do after dinner if I take a nap or before if I don’t), and do the Billy Blanks Abs workout on YouTube (most likely after dinner). Totally loving the new layout of our living room, as it means that there is enough space for me to practise aerobics in the middle of the room. Or swing a cat. Or anything else that requires maximum amounts of floor-space.

Anyways, I think I might have to have the banana . . . or else I might be tempted to eat my sister.
